I have friends telling me that freaks out there are just wasting time buying foam. One of these is that the acoustic foams are no more than a fancy packaged version of egg cartons.
After listening to this many times, I decided to check them out with some commercial products from the Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories forum. I recently discovered these in my "attic" files and have reproduced them here.
Egg Cartons do, indeed, have acoustical value. They measure NRC - 0.40.
However, deeper details and research tells the rest of the story. While commercial products exhibit a smooth curve, there is a "pothole" in the acoustical road with egg cartons.
Another thing to consider is flammability. Take an egg carton outside and put a match to it! Then ask yourself, "Do I still want this on my studio walls?"

After thinking abt it... I think i'll just stay with MacBook cos its so much cheaper... Anyway im just gonne use it 4 like 4 years and dan dump it away so i think its much cheaper. Also all mac are only recognizable to only 5,000 different virus which means that mac maintenace would be alot cheaper... RGHT? Pls comment if im wrong...

Alas! I went to the Singapore Expo 4 the foodfare. Eat really really alot... Eat 2 sharkfin soup(fake), some DODO brand thingy convience food and Nasi Lemark. Dun blame me 4 my spelling..T_T" Very tasty. Even get a chance to be a guinea pig(lol!) over there hav pep distributing free new Ko Wei Tang(sweet) free to test. HAHA lol. Taste minty green apple flavour. Doesn't really taste amazing jus average.. haha!!
